Vanessa Burgess is Chief Pharmacist for NHS South East London Integrated Care Board and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pharmacy. She provides strategic leadership for pharmacy, medicines optimisation and pharmaceutical care across a complex integrated care system, supporting improved outcomes and best value from an £850 million medicines budget. Vanessa has over 20 years' experience in senior NHS leadership and is recognised for her ability to bring together diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful and sustainable change. Her work spans strategic commissioning, medicines optimisation, community pharmacy integration, workforce transformation, population health management and the use of data to improve outcomes.
