Vanessa Lau

Vanessa Lau is the Chief Operating Officer at HKEX. In addition to this role, she is Chief Executive of HKEX’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited, and a Director of the London Metal Exchange. Ms Lau also serves as a director at CMU OmniClear Holdings Limited, the holding company jointly established by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and HKEX, which oversees the operation of the Central Moneymarkets Unit in Hong Kong. Ms Lau brings over 30 years of global finance and capital markets experience and has held a number of leadership positions since she joined HKEX in 2015.
