Vicky Damani

Vicky is a pharmacist and Clinical Product Lead at First Databank. As a clinician and independent prescriber, she spent over 15 years in the NHS, working across hospitals, GP practices and care homes, and in primary care commissioning. On the frontline, she spent years working around the gaps: reconciling discharge letters with minimal information, hunting for results across different systems, and piecing together a patient's medication history from several records. As a commissioner, she saw the same gaps repeated across an entire system. So, she moved into health technology to fix the problems she used to work around. Vicky is passionate about making digital tools fit real-world clinical workflows, joining up medicines and prescribing information across care settings, and making sure it lands where it can be acted on. She brings a clinician's perspective to product design, and a product perspective to implementing NHS medicines strategy.
