Vinny Romano

Vinny Romano BSc (Hons), MSc, CF is a registered paramedic and Consultant Paramedic for Education with the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS). He began his ambulance service career in 2000 within the Patient Transport Service of Cumbria Ambulance Service before progressing to emergency operations, qualifying as a Paramedic in 2004 following two years as an Emergency Medical Technician. Throughout his career, Vinny has worked across frontline ambulance services, solo response, and helicopter emergency medical operations, while also teaching pre-hospital care within higher education institutions. He holds a Diploma and BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science and was among the first cohort of Advanced Paramedics within NWAS. His passion for professional development led him to complete an MSc in Advanced Practice, with his dissertation focusing on staff wellbeing and psychological support in emergency services.
