Wendy Dolan

Wendy is a Textile Artist working in the South East. She specialises in freehand machine embroidery, combining layered fabrics, painting and stitching. She exhibits and sells her work widely and is inspired by the world around her As a freelance tutor and lecturer, Wendy shares her passion for textiles with students, offering courses, lectures, and demonstrations on a variety of subjects relating to stitched textiles. Specialising in freehand machine embroidery Wendy teaches across the UK, and leads textile tours to India and Central Asia, with Aahilya Holidays. Wendy is the author of ‘Layer, Paint and Stitch – create textile art using freehand machine embroidery and hand stitching’ a Search Press Bestseller. This book can be used as a journey of discovery, the aim of which is to encourage experimenting with techniques and enjoy exploring their potential. She is a Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and a member of The Sussex Guild and Embroiderers’ Guild. with a BEd Hons degre
