Wim Stevels

Wim Stevels is responsible for technical support for use of Eastman’s Saflex and Vanceva interlayers in buildings in Europe, including performance aspects, appropriate product selection and qualification support. He is member of the CEN and ISO committees on laminated glass, security glazing and design of glass structures. He has actively contributed to the recent standards on interlayers and determination of interlayer properties. On a national level, he maintains Saflex and Vanceva product registrations and national qualification approvals or testing where required. Initially trained as a Polymer Chemist, Wim moved into the interlayer business in 2014 and has widely presented on the subject at a variety of international events.
