Yvonne Pratt

Yvonne is a textile artist and tutor who is based in Norfolk her work is inspired by the coastal landscapes. She creates scenic textured pieces using various handcrafted techniques which include a mix of machine stitching, hand stitching, hand painting, dyed fabrics and handmade embellishments. She has a BA (Hons) Textiles Design and a masters in contemporary craft practice in textiles. She moved to tutoring my craft, after leaving the world of working in education 5 years ago. She has a huge understanding of how mindful making and creating is and love to share my passion with others through teaching workshops. She has been a tutor with at Festival of Quilts, Stitch Festival and Knit+Stitch shows for several years. She was a research associate at UCA Farnham and a tutor in their textile department. Yvonne was picked to attended the SEEDA Craft Entrepreneurship Workshop and also to attend Teaching and Creating Futures Conference at the British Library, London, where she was a case study
