Zsolt Hegyi

As of September 2024, I am the CEO of MÁV and thus head of the MÁV Group. In this role, I strive to take a service-centric approach with passengers at the centre and to improve the competitiveness of public transport in Hungary with 21st century solutions. Furthermore as a member of the Gyor-Sopron-Ebenfurt Railway (GySEV) board I can contribute to and facilitate effective and smooth communication and cooperation between the companies. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work in transport, especially in public transport. I started my career with the Gyermekvasút, a true Hungaricum. I am still an active member, supporter and mentor of the organisation. All in all, I have been working in public transport for nearly a quarter of a century, in a variety of roles.
