I build learning communities around new technology. Over fifteen years I have taught mathematics and STEAM in Canada, Australia, China, Turkey, Spain and now the Netherlands. The through line has never really been the subject. It has been the question of how you take something new and unfamiliar and make it ordinary for the people who have to use it on Monday morning. At NHL Stenden I work at International Teacher Education as a lecturer and researcher, and with the Centre for Teaching and Learning as a developer and facilitator. I founded the ITE Fab Lab, a creative space where staff, students and partners can test innovative pedagogy without it having to work the first time. I designed the International STEAM Education minor, turning technology trends into modular, inclusive learning that future primary teachers can carry into their own classrooms. And I co-coordinate our AI Community of Practice, which began with a few curious colleagues and now reaches around fifty lecturers, with
