Melanie Garson

Dr Melanie Garson is Associate Professor in International Security at University College London, founder of GeopolitIQ, and a former Senior Adviser and Cyber Policy & Tech Geopolitics Lead at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, where she built and led the Institute's tech geopolitics function, advising heads of government and senior policymakers on cyber resilience, AI, quantum, space, and defence tech innovation. She is a recognised global voice on the intersection of technology, geopolitics and defence, a regular commentator for Bloomberg, CNN, the BBC and Sky News, and takes the stage at leading international forums including IT Arena Lviv, OECD, MWC Barcelona, Internet Governance Forum, DefenceTech Week Tel Aviv Quantum Basel, Microsoft Cyber Agora and the NCSC UK Cyber Week.
