Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is a partner at True Ventures. An engineer by training, he founded ONI Systems, which pioneered optical switching for Metro networks. ONI Systems was acquired by Ciena after their IPO, where Rohit served as SVP and CTO of Metro Networks Group. Rohit is fascinated by innovation and technology, especially AI and applications of computational intelligence to nearly everything across infrastructure, applications, and the way startups are built. Rohit holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from India’s National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, and MSc + PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada.
